Kwan Perng has moved to CD Projekt RED's Boston division. Previously, he worked at Bungie on Destiny 2, and before that, he participated in the development of Guild Wars 2. In recent years, he held the position of writer and narrative lead.
The developer announced the transition several weeks ago via LinkedIn but did not disclose project details. This refers to Project Sirius – a new open-world game in The Witcher universe with a narrative focus and multiplayer elements. The project is being created by The Molasses Flood studio, which CD Projekt RED acquired in 2025.
This is not the first crossover between The Witcher and Destiny 2. In 2023, CD Projekt RED and Bungie collaborated, adding Geralt-themed items to Destiny 2. Now, one of the writers for the narrative part of The Final Shape expansion is working on a new game in The Witcher series. Project Sirius does not yet have a release date.
