The authors of the Open Surprise channel compared Valve's portable system with Microsoft's junior console. The Steam Deck noticeably lagged behind the Xbox Series S, especially when displaying the image on a large screen. In "stationary" mode, the picture looks too weak.
Even in portable mode, the Steam Deck had to lower settings to 720p and significantly cut down on graphics to get around 30 FPS. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S version looks significantly better.
Despite this, Forza Horizon 6 remains playable on Steam Deck. For such weak hardware, this was another achievement for Playground Games in optimizing an AAA game.
