New systems will constantly scan messages, network activity, and submitted materials. According to Sony, the tools are designed to find “hate speech, insults, malicious links,” as well as illegal content, including materials related to terrorism and self-harm.

At the same time, Sony has simplified the procedure for appealing permanent bans. Users from supported countries will be able to submit an application through a special support portal. The company stated that appeals will be reviewed quickly and objectively, and mistakenly blocked accounts will be restored.

Sony also added support for a login key instead of regular passwords, extended the rules to the PlayStation mobile app, PC services, and third-party platforms.

Some rules remained unchanged. Sony once again reminded that digital games are sold as a license, not user property. The minimum age for account registration is still 7 years.
