Owlcat Games has summarized the results of the recent beta testing round for the sci-fi action-RPG The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. The developers revealed statistics and discussed how they will fix the game.
Over 21,000 players participated in the beta, 60% chose the "officer" specialization, fired over 60 million bullets, landed 2.8 million headshots, and left over 380 thousand bodies in space.
According to the developers, overall, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn beta was "received excellently," but some things will still be fixed, for example, the voice acting of several characters will be replaced:
Although the voice actor for the male main character and Jay did an excellent job, they were not as expressive as we would have liked. Therefore, we decided to replace the voices of these characters.
The creators of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn also continue to work on animations (facial and movement); the cover system will also be refined.
Thanks to player feedback, the developers "found moments where character interactions felt inconsistent or inappropriate." Therefore, it was decided to adjust some dialogues to make the characters' reactions more natural, lively, and appropriate to the situation.
