Genshin Impact to Add New Banner Type - Insider Info
It is expected that players will soon be offered another banner for character pulls.
It seems that Genshin Impact developers are planning to expand the character banner system in the foreseeable future. According to incoming insider data, miHoYo (HoYoverse) may introduce a new banner type as early as update 6.7. Allegedly, it will only feature buffed characters.
It is claimed that several characters will receive buffs in update 6.7, for example, Cyno will get additional "arrows" in his ultimate, and Yae Miko will have increased totem duration and reduced cooldown when reactions are triggered.
If the data is correct, players will be able to pull for the following heroes:
- Wriothesley (5-star rarity, Cryo, Catalyst)
- Yae Miko (5-star rarity, Electro, Catalyst)
- Cyno (5-star rarity, Electro, Polearm)
- Yumemidzuki Mizuki (5-star rarity, Anemo, Catalyst)
- Qiqi (5-star rarity, Cryo, Sword)
- Beidou (4-star rarity, Electro, Claymore)
- Diona (4-star rarity, Cryo, Bow)
Details of the new banner type's mechanics have not yet been revealed. For now, it is assumed that the gacha system will work like a regular character banner.
Genshin Impact update 6.7 is expected to be released in July 2026. This year, the 7.x update series will begin with the new region "Snezhnaya".
