In May, publisher Slitherine began giving away Warhammer 40,000: Gladius Relics of War from Proxy Studios on Steam. This is not the first time such an event has taken place.
The project is positioned as a 4X strategy game that will immerse players in a "world of terror and violence":
Gladius Prime was known to Imperial scholars as a planet rich in archaeological finds. During its colonization, ancient relics were discovered, hinting at the planet's mysterious past. The finds turned out to be more than just relics. A terrible echo of an ancient past awakened, and the inhabitants of Gladius found themselves embroiled in a deadly war for survival.
The base version of Warhammer 40,000: Gladius Relics of War offers players a choice of several playable factions. Additional ones are distributed via DLC, such as Tyranids and T'au. A content sale will run until May 28.
