Infinity Ward hinted at changes in the next Call of Duty
Infinity Ward announced a "new chapter" in the studio's history and promised a "bold" and "relentless" game. This refers to the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but the developers hint that the project will be something more than just another installment in the series.
Infinity Ward published an address to players, in which they spoke about their approach to Call of Duty. The studio is now led by series veterans Mark Grigsby and Jack O'Hara.
We are Infinity Ward.
We create exciting and engaging combat experiences that feel different.
As we begin a new chapter in our studio's history, we are focused on what defines us: passion, precision, obsession, and a constant drive to create the best entertainment in the industry. Our next game is the result of this approach. Decisive. Bold. Relentless.
The date for the full presentation of the project has not yet been revealed. In an interview with IGN, the studio heads also hinted that the new game could be a tribute to Vince Zampella, the creator of Call of Duty, who tragically died in late 2025.
Many of us knew Vince personally, so his tragic death was very painful. Each of us has our own memories and stories associated with him.
