Initial impressions of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced were positive, and now concrete gameplay footage has emerged.
85 minutes of gameplay in 4K and 60 frames per second have been released online. The video shows that Ubisoft did not limit itself to a graphical update but significantly reworked the game's structure itself.
The developers noticeably reduced RPG elements and focused on a more classic gameplay feel. The combat system has also been completely redesigned – it's not a copy of modern installments in the series, but a new variation inspired by the original.
About six hours of new content have been added to the game, including new islands, quests, and locations. An epilogue for Edward Kenway has also appeared, which could be one of the project's main novelties.
Underwater mechanics have been updated, new shanties added, and the interface and menus redesigned. A separate crouch button for stealth has been introduced, and tailing missions now more often allow for transitioning to open combat.
Smoothness is particularly noted – loading screens have practically disappeared, and movement through the world has become seamless and dynamic.
