Players Criticize Darksiders $10 Upgrade - Publisher Refuses to Comment on Complaints

Not everyone liked the proposed improvements to Darksiders: Warmastered Edition.

Recently, a next-gen upgrade was introduced for Darksiders: Warmastered Edition — Sony console owners were offered to buy it for $10 / €, while on Xbox it will be available for free:

Owners of the Darksiders WE version for PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for €9.99 / $9.99. Players who own the Xbox One version will receive the upgrade to the Xbox Series X|S version for free.

The developers described the improvements on the game's PlayStation Store page:

Native 4K rendering (on PS5)
Smooth and stable 60 frames per second gameplay
Photo Mode (on PS5)
DualSense and haptic feedback support (on PS5)

However, those who purchased the next-gen upgrade for Darksiders: Warmastered Edition had complaints. Dissatisfied players expressed the opinion that the improvements offered by the developers did not justify the price.

PushSquare journalists decided to ask publisher THQ Nordic about these complaints, but a company representative stated that they "would not comment".
