The creators of Path of Exile 2 continue to reveal new features of the upcoming "Return of the Ancients" update. In the new release, the developers decided to talk about the balance changes to Ascendancy classes.
The "Stone Golem Legionnaire" will receive additional effects from skill gem quality. Each placed skill in the game will have an additional quality option available through the "Advanced Sorcery" Ascendancy skill.
As an example, the developers cited "Fireball" — instead of directly launching two additional projectiles, you can launch 10 around the character:
The Chronomancer will receive new significant skills, such as "Phantom Form":
With "Phantom Form" selected and through your mastery of time, you can take less damage, absorbing some of that damage after a delay.
With "Temporal Rift," you can negate the delayed damage of the "form":
If you take a big hit and then use "Temporal Rift," not only does your health recover to what it was, but the delayed damage is simply eliminated.
The release of the Path of Exile 2 "Return of the Ancients" update is scheduled for May 29.
