The developers of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era continue to refine the game in "early access." They recently released the seventh patch (or v. 0.80.16), which aims to eliminate vulnerabilities and bugs that allowed players to unfairly increase their army size.
The logic of the pocket dimension with the "Personal Supervision" skill, which allowed doubling the army size, has been fixed. A bug that allowed doubling troops in a garrison during a city siege has also been fixed.
Olden Era now features an alternative starting camera position in combat. With it, players can slightly zoom in or zoom out the starting position.
Some other changes and improvements:
- Fixed a bug where a hero on the map could not interact with a city by pressing the spacebar.
- Fixed a bug that made it impossible to use a hero's strike when using an improved "Excalibur."
- Fixed the display of Cyrillic characters in player nicknames.
- Various camera operation fixes
- [Campaign and Scenarios] Fixed the marking of game territories in several missions. This fix directly affects the AI's behavior logic and the correct operation of sub-skills related to territory control.
- [Campaign] In a number of missions, the timing of story windows has been fixed – now dialogues after defeating story opponents play strictly after their death animation, not before it.
- [Campaign] Necromancy is now enabled by default for necromancer heroes.
- Updated localization for all languages: added translation for new settings, fixed errors, etc.
