Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th" to appear in Dead by Daylight - new killer trailer released
After many years, the creators of DbD have obtained a license for content from "Friday the 13th."
This year, the online horror game Dead by Daylight turns 10, and the developers have unveiled a trailer for a new killer that fans have long dreamed of. Behaviour Interactive studio will work with the iconic franchise "Friday the 13th" and add Jason Voorhees to the game:
Mask on. Machete bloody. The slaughter has begun. Dead by Daylight: Jason.
The developers of Dead by Daylight have only presented a promotional video so far and have not revealed details of the new killer's gameplay mechanics. Movie fans speculate that he will receive a special ability for fast movement across the map.
The trailer for the new killer is available at the following link. The release is expected on June 16, 2026.
Previously, a Dead by Daylight-like game was released about Jason Voorhees himself. The project Friday the 13th: The Game, which featured different versions of the killer from the franchise's films — Friday the 13th, Part II and Part III; Part VI: Jason Lives, Part VII: New Blood, Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, as well as Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. The servers were shut down several years ago.
