Recently, the creators of the long-haul truck driver simulators Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator presented a diary dedicated to the development of update 1.60. They studied community feedback and decided to add a new widget with information about the current order to the game.
In the current version, information is distributed across several screens, most of it is displayed in the "Quick Info" section – it shows the loading and delivery location, income per order, cargo type and weight, the next rest stop, and the remaining time to complete the task, which is also displayed under the GPS.
After adding the new "Details Widget" to the game, players will be able to activate it via the widget settings menu (F6 key).
The new widget will display key order information, including cargo type and weight, delivery location, income (will be highlighted in color), and the remaining time to complete the task. According to the developers' plan, this will allow players to get all the necessary information without having to pause the game:
In addition, the remaining task time will no longer be displayed on the GPS and will be shown exclusively in the "Details Widget", while information about the next rest stop will be removed from the task details and will only be displayed on the GPS.
The developers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck have not yet announced when they plan to release update 1.60.
