In May, the full version of NAMAKORIUM (ナマコリウム) by Polyscape studio was released on PC via Steam. The project started in "early access" earlier this year.
The developers position the game as a chaotic cooperative real-time strategy for four players (it can also be played solo, all levels have been adapted for solo mode). The game's creators suggest leading a squad of "sea cleaners" — Namako (sea cucumbers) — and cleaning up polluted waters:
As you clean the ocean, corals bloom, light breaks through the water, and the deep sea is once again filled with colors. Over 50 types of "Picturesque Creatures" will begin to appear — try to collect them all by restoring nature!
During water purification, distorted sea cucumbers may appear — they spoil food and return the ocean to darkness.
Sea cucumbers have various special skills, for example, Shell Namako collects limestone, Iron Namako is suitable for mining ore, and Fire and Ice Namako can withstand extreme temperatures.
Reviews for NAMAKORIUM on Steam are "very positive".
