Save the World with a Kiss - EXSTETRA to be Released Outside Japan 13 Years After the Original

FuRyu will release EXSTETRA - a remake of the Japanese RPG that came out almost 13 years ago on PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

The EXSTETRA project will receive its first global release: the Steam version will be released on September 30, 2026, and later the project will reach PS5, Switch, and Switch 2.

The events of EXSTETRA unfold in the world of Amasea, where Tokyo has merged with an alternate reality doomed to destruction. The main character is a schoolboy Ryoma — the chosen savior nicknamed Prisma.

One of the key mechanics of the game will be kissing. With their help, the hero will be able to recruit companions to his team, as well as strengthen them directly during battles. After a kiss, characters gain magical abilities.

The game will also feature a weapon enchantment system. It will allow equipping gear with unique characteristics and skills that will affect the combat system.

The development is handled by FuRyu studio, known for other JRPGs, and the visual style is by artist Tony Taka, who worked on the Shining series.
