Bethesda recently announced an update for Fallout 4 on consoles. It is designed to improve the Creations modification system.
Developers will expand the mod storage for Fallout 4 – console players will be able to install larger projects.
The update is planned for release in a few days on PS4 and PS5 consoles, as well as Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One:
We are excited to announce that the Fallout 4 Creations storage expansion will be released on consoles on May 27th. Console players will soon have more space to download content, including larger and more ambitious Creations modifications. This update will scale Creations storage on Xbox Series X|S up to 100 GB. On PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One, storage will increase from 1 or 2 GB (depending on the platform) to approximately 15 GB.
Fallout 4 developers recommended that players, "as a precautionary measure," enter their save game before installing this update if they haven't done so in a long time, or manually save their load order.
After saving the load order, players will be able to re-download the entire Creations list immediately after the update.
