It recently became known about a new addition to the Xbox team — Matthew Ball took the post of Chief Strategy Officer. Previously, he worked at Amazon Studios.
The participants of the XB2 podcast discussed his appointment to this position and Ball's words about the company's plans to revive “legendary” game series.
Insider and Windows Central journalist Jez Corden shared what he heard:
I've heard — I don't know how true it is yet — but rumor has it that Fallout remasters are likely to come out a little later than people think, and that The Elder Scrolls VI is still quite a long way from release. So, I guess, speeding up the release of some of these games is probably a pretty important task for [Xbox].
Then Jez Corden and his interlocutor began to share assumptions, which some players took as quotes and began to position as “insider information” (in reality, these were just their thoughts on the potential release window for the projects).
According to Jez, Fallout remakes/remasters, or at least one of them, could be released in 2027 (he did not specify which part), and The Elder Scrolls VI could then be released in 2028-2029.
