Journalist and insider Rhys "Kiwi Talkz" Reilly recently spoke out again on social media. This time, his message is addressed to colleagues who like to reveal "exact plans" of companies like Nintendo and Rockstar Games,
According to him, managers strongly dislike leaks and are willing to change their own plans to discredit sources of information:
A word of advice to insiders and leakers regarding Rockstar and Nintendo's plans... stop naming exact announcement dates down to the day and week!! There's a high chance it will backfire on you because of how vindictive they are. Both companies hate leaks so much that they can change trailer and announcement dates to discredit sources — they've done it before and will do it again.
The journalist noted that Nintendo and Rockstar Games like to maintain an element of surprise in their marketing campaign.
Earlier, Rhys Reilly shared another insider tip about Rockstar Games: allegedly, developers sign a lifelong NDA (non-disclosure agreement), which complicates the interview process — developers cannot reveal many details.
