Forza Horizon 6 Becomes Xbox's Biggest Hit on Steam
Forza Horizon 6 had the best launch of any Xbox game on Steam. The racing game surpassed Halo Infinite in online concurrent players on Valve's platform.
The relocation of the series to Japan proved to be a successful decision for Microsoft. According to analysts, the new Forza has become Xbox's most successful Steam release of all time.
The game earned approximately $325 million, with almost half of that amount coming from Steam. Users purchased about 2.8 million copies on Valve's platform.
According to SteamDB statistics, at its peak, Forza Horizon 6 reached 298 thousand concurrent players online. This allowed the game to surpass Halo Infinite, which previously held the Xbox record with 272 thousand users.
Forza Horizon 6 also became one of the most successful racing games in Steam's history. Currently, three Horizon series titles are among the top five most popular automotive games on the platform.
The project received high praise from both the press and other developers, becoming one of the highest-rated games of 2026.
