Today, gamers marked a sad date – May 26th was the day Grand Theft Auto VI was originally planned for release. However, there was a previous postponement, so players will have to wait a little longer.
There is still no new trailer, and fans are rewatching old promotional materials and studying other publications by Rockstar Games in search of "signals."
On this day, the studio "pleased" players with news – about the Red Dead Online multiplayer. A user under the nickname junttiana published a screenshot of the social media post and captioned it "it's over" (some players had hoped until the last moment that the developers would publish something about GTA VI today).
EigenstateX noted the very quick reaction to the Rockstar Games post:
[time on the screenshot at the post publication date] "4 seconds ago" – that's insane. The guy was refreshing Rockstar's profile at lightning speed, only to end up getting a notification about an update for Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer.
If nothing changes again, Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026 – for now, only on consoles. The release date for the PC version of the game is currently unknown.
