Fans recreated the GTA VI map and made it "playable" on PC - they released a layout with key locations

The Grand Theft Auto VI cartography community recently reported a breakthrough. Enthusiasts have prepared a full-fledged free open-source tool that allows you to "walk around" the map layout.

A user under the nickname rolux shared a video demonstrating the tool with the GTA VI waiting community. Key locations are placed on the large map layout — their positions were determined from the trailer.

These "points" were distributed across the entire map, resulting in something like a "slice" of the GTA VI world map — this layout includes all known places that players could learn about from previously published promotional materials.

The "gtamaplib-vc" project is publicly available on GitHub (rolux repository), an example of a virtual walk around the GTA VI map can be viewed at the following link.

Players will be able to fully run around the Grand Theft Auto VI map in November of this year on consoles. The release date for the PC version of the game has not yet been announced.

Recently, the fan community celebrated a very sad date — GTA VI was not released yesterday. Before the postponement, the release of the new part of the franchise was scheduled for May 26 of this year.
