After several months, modder xoxor4d has returned and released a small update for his RTX remaster of Grand Theft Auto IV. It includes various fixes and improvements.
xoxor4d updated the Remix runtime and various assets, including the glass texture for the Beam TV. He also fixed an invisible head issue that could occur when using the modification.
He added "dirt" to the "GTA_VEHICLE_MESH" shaders – "fixed the UV mapping of the dirt layer that is generated when using liveries on a vehicle."
xoxor4d continues to distribute his project "gta4-rtx" (GTAIV RTX Remix Compatibility Mod) for free via GitHub. The full description of update 1.3.0 is available at the following link.
The developer has not published new screenshots, but gameplay footage has already appeared online. For example, FV Mods tested GTA IV RTX version 1.3.0 – the video is available here.
Earlier this year, an old build of Grand Theft Auto IV leaked online. Players were able to explore the beta version's map and restore some content that Rockstar developers cut before release.
