At the end of May, the creators of Path of Exile 2 presented a major update, “Return of the Ancients.” The developers not only added new content to the game and introduced various fixes and improvements but also announced the launch of a new gateway for players from Russia.
Grinding Gear Games announced that the PoE 2 team managed to find a new provider. With the launch of the “Return of the Ancients” update, the “Moscow Gateway” reappeared in the list of available gateways in Path of Exile 2.
Since this weekend, the developers have begun “actively testing” its performance:
We believe that a separate gateway in Russia should generally significantly improve the connection situation. However, we want to remind you: in case of any server problems, we need MTR (WinMTR) measurement results so that we can analyze such cases and report them to the provider.
The developers of Path of Exile 2 have published instructions on the forum for players who may encounter server problems.
There are both positive reviews—some players have ping within 30-40—and negative ones. Some users still experience connection problems or observe high latency.
