Publisher Paper Fort Games plans to continue supporting Terraria: The Board Game — a tabletop adaptation of the sandbox game Terraria from Re-Logic studio. It announced the Plantera Awakens expansion, which will add Hardmode, quick-start scenarios, events, new biomes, bosses, and other changes to the project.
Plantera Awakens will be the first of two Hardmode expansions, dividing the further adventure into "pre-Plantera" and "post-Plantera" sets.
Among other things, the developers will introduce features that gamers have requested over the past few months, as well as certain suggestions that came in during the initial campaign.
Along with a greater variety of enemies, equipment, and areas to explore in Hardmode, one of the team's main goals is to speed up game preparation and simplify difficulty settings.
Players will be able to start Hardmode with recommended class-specific equipment sets, and new tablets will allow them to explore Sky Islands, prepare arenas before bosses, and more.
While the developers are not yet ready to show photos of the expansion, they have already published new art. Like all illustrations in Terraria: The Board Game, this work was created by George Doutsiopoulos under the guidance of the Paper Fort and Re-Logic teams. In addition, Plantera Awakens already has its own page on the crowdfunding Kickstarter platform.
It is worth noting that in Russia, Terraria: The Board Game will be released by Lavka Igr publisher.
