Testing of the regional version of Arc Raiders for China is currently underway. It is being developed with the participation of Tencent and has greatly interested some representatives of the Western gaming community.
Players learned that several special modes were prepared for the Chinese version of Arc Raiders. In one of them ("Safe Zone"), all players are initially allies, but there is an option to press the "J" key to choose "betrayal". After this, all players in the raid become enemies to that person, and a characteristic red signal appears behind their back.
Another mode/map condition, "Dual Boss", activates the spawn of two bosses at once – the Queen and the Matriarch will be present on the map simultaneously. Crates with equipment will appear at the location so that players can prepare for a difficult battle.
Some discussion participants noted that they would like to see a similar PvE mode in the international version of Arc Raiders – it has been requested for a long time, but Embark Studios has not announced anything of the sort yet.
A user under the nickname chuxkint said that he reads reviews in Chinese with interest – in them, he finds interesting thoughts and notes the unique vision of the Chinese:
Everyone used to mock Chinese players for posting negative reviews, but now I think they really have a unique vision and design skills when it comes to games. Now, before buying a video game, I check the reviews section in simplified Chinese – they are very interesting and honestly point out real problems, and in large numbers, not just in the style of "good game, but with flaws". Honestly, before buying, it's generally worth reading more negative reviews… no amount of praise will outweigh a critical flaw.
