CD Projekt RED continues to develop its mobile division. During a financial report, co-CEO Michał Nowakowski spoke about a secret project that the studio is creating in collaboration with Scopely. However, the game's release will definitely not happen in 2026.
Nowakowski stated that the developers need more time to refine the project. According to him, creating mobile games involves constant testing and making changes, which is why the process takes a long time.
The head noted that it is important for both parties to achieve a level of quality that fully satisfies both CD Projekt RED and Scopely.
Scopely is considered one of the leaders in the mobile market. The company, owned by the Saudi fund Savvy Games after a $4.9 billion deal, is known for projects such as Monopoly GO and Pokémon GO.
It has not been officially announced which CD Projekt RED franchise will form the basis of the new game. Earlier, the studio's management mentioned that it was considering releasing mobile projects based on The Witcher and Cyberpunk universes. The company already has experience working on smartphones thanks to GWENT and The Witcher: Monster Slayer.
