GamesVoice recently announced Russian voice acting for the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion. The localizers opened a fundraiser but warned players that if, "due to reasons beyond [the studio's] control," they had to stop the fundraiser and abandon the project, the collected funds would go to the GTA: San Andreas budget.

Now the GamesVoice team has noted an important milestone in the fundraiser — over one million rubles have already been collected (three million are needed), partly thanks to a large donor:

One-third of the way has been covered, which means the Russian voice acting for "Phantom Liberty" is entering the active production phase. Special thanks to Sergey Animisov for a generous donation of 250 thousand rubles.

In addition, GamesVoice announced that donors "can be sure" that the collected funds will go specifically to Cyberpunk 2077. According to the localizers, the issue of hypothetically transferring money to other projects has been removed from the agenda, and the fundraiser continues:

If you are still among the doubters, join our fight for Russian dubbing. The pace is excellent so far, but we are sure this is not the limit. Let's make Johnny proud of all of us!
