Remedy Reveals Control Resonant Plot and Release Date
Remedy Entertainment unveiled Control Resonant at State of Play and announced the release date - the game will go on sale on September 24, 2026. Along with the announcement, the developers showed a story trailer revealing the premise of the new story.
The events will unfold not within the walls of the Oldest House, but on the streets of a distorted Manhattan. A paranormal catastrophe has altered the city's architecture, warped reality, and filled the streets with monsters born from a new type of Resonance.
One of the main changes will be a new protagonist. Jesse Faden will give way to her brother Dylan, who will be the only playable character. If in the first part he was associated with the threat and sided with the enemy, now he will have to face the consequences of his own past.
During his journey through a ruined New York, the hero will develop supernatural abilities and use Aberrant weapons capable of changing shape.
The plot will focus on Dylan and Jesse's complex relationship and their difficult childhood. In the past, the Federal Bureau of Control took the boy from his family and subjected him to cruel experiments.
After the events of the first game and the cleansing of his mind, Dylan emerges from a years-long coma, but discovers that Jesse has disappeared. Now he becomes the only person capable of confronting the new threat to humanity.
