Microsoft hinted at the release order of major 2026 exclusives

During the official Xbox podcast, Matt Booty, head of gaming content at the company, may have accidentally revealed the release order of several major Microsoft games in 2026.

Discussing the Xbox Games Showcase and the postponement of Fable to February 2027, Booty listed upcoming releases for Xbox platforms. According to journalists, the mentioned projects virtually coincide with the presumed release schedule of key Microsoft games in the second half of 2026.

The company representative mentioned Halo: Combat Evolved Remake, Minecraft Dungeons 2, Gears of War: E-Day, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This list and its order align with unofficial reports previously circulated in the industry.

According to rumors, the new Halo is expected in July, Minecraft Dungeons 2 in August, and Gears of War: E-Day in mid-September. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has already been officially announced for October.

Such a schedule seems logical, as November and December will likely remain without major Microsoft releases. The industry expects players' main attention during this period to be focused on Grand Theft Auto VI.
