The writer spoke warmly of her former colleagues. She noted that she always knew about the talent of the Sony Santa Monica team, but the final version of the story about Atreus's mother exceeded her expectations. According to Pearce, the game turned out to be much more beautiful than she could have imagined, and now she can't wait to get acquainted with the final version as a fan.
Pearce left the studio in December 2024 and returned to Australia to spend more time with her family.
