In early June, Antifreeze Games studio announced the start of the first public game testing of Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter:
Today we are finally opening the doors to our first public playtest! But before you head to the station, we wanted to tell you a little about what to expect. This is just the first stage of testing. Our main goal right now is simple: to give you the opportunity to spend some time on our space station and get acquainted with the atmosphere and the core gameplay.
The developers warned that the presented version lacks some elements — a detective system; a map, crafting and weapon upgrades; story cutscenes and voice acting, as well as “many other planned mechanics and features.”
Participants in the current round of Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter testing will be able to explore several locations and get a first impression of the game world — the heroine will encounter mutants and dangerous robots:
Corridors are swarming with mutants. Robots have gone mad. And the corpses of the richest lords of the Solar System now adorn the luxurious halls of the station on one of Jupiter's moons. Various enemies await in the game: from mutant cockroaches trying to devour you to charming robot girls. Analyze the situation: sometimes it's better to avoid combat to save resources.
