1666: Amsterdam, the new game from Panache Digital Games, founded by Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets, was unveiled at Summer Game Fest. The first trailer showed a dark 17th-century Amsterdam, demonic creatures, and an unusual two-character system.

The gameplay of 1666: Amsterdam will be divided into two parts. By day, players will conduct investigations, meet residents, and uncover the city's secrets. By night, confrontations with demonic adversaries will begin, using magic, spells, and special abilities passed down through generations.

In addition to Noah, players will be able to control Aaron, a character from 1999 who observes the world through the eyes of a cat. Each hero will have their own playstyle, and switching between them will be an important part of exploring the world and completing quests.

The project is being developed by Patrice Désilets' studio, the creator of Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. A free prologue to the game is also already available.
