Guild Wars 3 will challenge World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV. The next installment in the MMORPG series has been announced

ArenaNet has officially announced Guild Wars 3. The sequel to one of the most famous MMORPGs is preparing for release on PC and PS5.

Eight years passed between the releases of Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, but fans had to wait even longer for the third installment. Guild Wars 2 was released in 2012 and remains one of the largest MMORPGs on the market to this day.

The developers call Guild Wars 3 an important step for the genre. The game will try to establish itself in a market currently dominated by World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, and The Elder Scrolls Online.

One of the main features will be its release not only on PC but also on PS5. For the series, this will be a new stage of development and will allow it to attract a wider audience.

Details of the gameplay and release dates have not yet been disclosed.
