In June, the creators of the long-haul truck driver simulators Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator introduced beta updates 1.60 with improvements that have been teased in recent weeks.
SCS Software added an improved radio to the game — pre-made radio stations Rust FM, Escape, PUMP IT!, Pop Gear, and Roadio with music of various genres are available. A new widget also appeared: it will show the selected station, artist, and track title.
Update 1.60 also introduced a new material system that will make truck interiors more realistic. Cabs will react better to lighting. It will be gradually implemented into various truck models, among the first in Euro Truck Simulator 2 are DAF NGD and MAN TG3 TGX, and in American Truck Simulator — Mack Anthem and Western Star 49X.
In addition, "minor adjustments" were made to the general lighting, the order information widget was also updated, and the rest mechanic was expanded.
The full description of update 1.60 for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available at the following link, and for American Truck Simulator here. SCS Software has not yet specified when they plan to release the update — currently, 1.60 can be tested via "Betas" in Steam.
