Visuwyg studio is preparing for the release of the DERELIKT project. They position it as a story-driven retro first-person shooter, created for "fans of claustrophobic PS1-era sci-fi horror." Some gamers find it reminiscent of the "Alien" franchise.
In the game's description, Visuwyg highlighted several classic shooters as sources of inspiration:
Play like it's 1999! DERELIKT is a story-driven retro FPS inspired by Alien Resurrection, Doom 3, and System Shock 2, with a touch of Lovecraftian cosmic horror.
The developers of DERELIKT will offer players to explore the dark corridors of the "Von Neumann" outpost. This is an extensive research station built into an anomalous asteroid in orbit around Saturn. They promise encounters with unique NPCs, "old-school puzzles," and the opportunity to fight ancient monsters – all in the aesthetic of PlayStation 1 era games.
The DERELIKT page on Steam is available at the following link, the game will also be featured on GOG. The developers have not yet specified a concrete release date, but the release window is known – 2026.
