Recently, tinyBuild presented a trailer for the Last Harbor project. It's a zombie shooter that combines PvP elements and fishing.
According to the plot of Last Harbor, humanity has fallen. Undead roam everywhere, and the few survivors have gone to sea in search of refuge. To survive, it is necessary to maintain the boat, extract resources and food:
Your boat is your lifeline. Your mobile base, means of transport, and last line of defense against the horror engulfing the world. Upgrade your vessel to withstand raids, expand crafting capabilities, accommodate other survivors, and move more efficiently through the world. But remember: although the sea holds back the undead, it is impossible to survive far from shore for long.
The developers of Last Harbor said that their game was inspired by real events — the 2020 lockdown spent on a boat among the San Juan Islands in Washington State: “Fishing, exploring, a sense of anxiety amidst beauty, and walks through cozy, seemingly abandoned towns, during which you try to avoid other people.” The creators of the game explained that they strive to “convey this sense of isolation as you explore the abandoned remnants of an archipelago off the coast of the USA, teeming with undead.”
You can add Last Harbor to your Steam wishlist by following this link. The exact release date of the game has not yet been announced.
