Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Postponed Again - The Game Will Have to Wait
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has not been canceled and remains in development, but its release has been postponed again. A representative from Paramount Games Studio confirmed that the game is in a working and playable state, but it will not be released in 2026.
The project from Skydance New Media has long generated interest due to Amy Hennig's involvement and the chosen period of the Marvel universe. However, the prolonged lack of news and postponements have led many to doubt the game's fate.
Sean Kittelsen, Senior Vice President, Head of Creative and Production at Paramount Games Studio, announced that the premiere will not take place before 2027. This means at least six years will pass between the announcement and the release.
The developers explain the delay by the scale and ambition of the project. The team aimed from the outset to create an AAA-level game, while simultaneously building the studio almost from scratch during the pandemic, developing tools, and only then moving on to full production.
According to the creators, the additional time is needed to release the game in the best possible state, rather than rushing the release. The positive aspect is that the project has not disappeared.
