Developers of Fable participated in the "XBOX Games Showcase 2026" presentation. The new game from Playground Games studio is set to be released next year.
Soon after the trailer was shown, Fable pre-orders opened, and the development of an expansion called Order of the Hero was announced. According to the published description, the main character will have to explore a new region and get acquainted with an ancient cult:
Write the next chapter of your legend in a story expansion (to be released after the game's launch) that plunges you into the mysteries of a dark ancient cult, hidden deep within Albion's perilous beauty. Fable: Order of the Hero offers a brand new region, full of dangers, wonders, and whispers of a long-buried power. As you explore it, you will earn the admiration of the cultists and rise to become their new (and greatest) renowned overseer.
Players will be able to control and customize the cult:
With newfound power, you can guide their rituals and shape the cult to your heroic design – noble, cruel, or simply strange. But as you become the new leader, you inadvertently ask a darker question: If there's a vacant spot for a new leader in the cult... what happened to the old one?
