This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Director Paweł Sasko, who also worked on The Witcher 3, continues to share stories about the DLC's creation.

One of the developer's favorite memories is related to the Mère-Lachaise cemetery. Inscriptions had to be placed on the gravestones to "make everything right," and most of them were written by Karolina Stachyra. She "demanded 'dead bodies' from her colleagues."

To fill them, the names of CD Projekt RED developers were used, and as a result, most of the team was "buried" in the Toussaint cemetery:

Do you remember the scene where Regis and Geralt sit together in the cemetery and talk? They are sitting on the graves belonging to Karolina and Paweł Sasko.

Paweł Sasko thanked the players who "keep Toussaint alive" and everyone who worked on the Blood and Wine expansion: "you created something that may outlive all of us."

Ten years. A whole decade during which players explore every corner of Toussaint, discuss decisions, find secrets, keep stories alive with such passion that it still amazes me. You have exceeded all our expectations for the longevity of The Witcher 3.
