Survival game The Alters will receive the Last Variable expansion about unraveling the planet's mystery

Players can expect a new lengthy adventure.

11 bit studios has announced an expansion for the survival game The Alters, titled Last Variable.

This time, the story will center on Jan Scientist. According to the plot, the other Jans have left the planet, and he decided to stay and lead a team of specialists, which includes “only him” (the group consists of alternative versions of Jan Scientist – Jan Geologist, Biologist, Physicist, and Chemist).

The developers stated that players will be offered to unravel the mystery of a “paradise corner”:

On the explored planet, there are long cycles of scorching sunrises, which force the heroes to go underground. To build an underground base, they will need to learn how to work with different types of soil, construct new structures, and develop new modules. As an example, the game's creators cite a “cryochamber” – it “will give you more time and allow you to see the long-term results of your research.”
