Previously, 2.7 million copies sold were reported, but this result referred to the first week after release. In an interview with IGN, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak said that sales have already surpassed the 3 million mark.

In all respects, this is an incredible success. The game is simply selling excellently, and that's fantastic.

According to the head, the actual profit for the studio comes with a delay due to the royalty payment system, but the result has already significantly exceeded forecasts.

At this stage, we are significantly exceeding our expectations.

Abrak also commented on rumors about the project's budget. He confirmed that 007 First Light became the most expensive game in the studio's history but refuted reports of a $200 million cost.

This is definitely our most expensive project, but we're not talking about $200 million spent solely on development.

The head of IO Interactive noted that possible sequels might be cheaper due to accumulated technologies and experience, as happened with the Hitman trilogy. He also stated that the studio's relationship with Amazon remains good, and the team is currently focused on supporting and developing 007 First Light.
