After 18 Years of Waiting, Ubisoft Reminds Us of Beyond Good & Evil 2 Again

Ubisoft confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development. The information was revealed during the Future Games Show, where company representatives spoke about the work of Ubisoft Montpellier studio.

Rayman series producer Loïc Goujon stated that the core Beyond Good & Evil 2 team continues to work on the project. According to him, assembling a team for Rayman Legends Retold was not easy, as many employees had left the studio or been transferred to other projects.

Some of these developers now form the core team working on the continuation of Jade's adventures.

The news is notable because Beyond Good & Evil 2 is considered one of the industry's most famous long-term projects. The game was announced in 2008 and has since faced numerous difficulties. The project survived the departure of series creator Michel Ancel in 2020, as well as several internal Ubisoft restructurings.
