The "Ballads of the Past" expansion for the action RPG "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will only be released in 2027, but thanks to new photos by photographer Victoria "Mr. Black" Shabanova, fans of the franchise were once again able to immerse themselves in their beloved universe.
During the photoshoot, cosplayer Do.Re.Minoru appeared as the powerful sorceress Triss Merigold from the game.
She has lush, bright red hair styled into an elaborate evening updo, adorned with golden filigree hairpins and an elegant frontal diadem. The heroine's outfit is made of noble green fabric with rich gold embroidery in the form of floral ornaments and features an extremely deep, daring décolletage.
The look is complemented by wide translucent sleeves with patterns of intertwined branches, a brown sash at the waist, and a golden necklace stylized as leaves. Triss Merigold's character stands out significantly from most other sorceresses of Neverland, as she possesses a soft, compassionate heart and lacks the arrogance typical of mages.
In the third part of the game, she reveals herself as a strong, selfless leader, risking her own life and organizing an underground resistance in Novigrad, saving persecuted sorcerers from the Inquisition's pyres. In her relationship with Geralt, she proves to be an open, tender, and caring companion, although a steel core always hides beneath her outward vulnerability.
Her main calling card in battle is destructive fire magic, with which she can unleash real firestorms and meteor strikes on enemies. In addition, Triss is a recognized master of alchemy and healing, perfectly versed in creating the most complex elixirs.
