Aniimo confirmed for PS5 - new gameplay of the Chinese answer to Pokémon

Nintendo will soon face competition from Chinese games. One of these projects will be Aniimo - a game from Pawprint studio, which has received a confirmed version for PS5 and is preparing for a new beta test.

Several Chinese games are entering the market, capable of competing with the Pokémon and Animal Crossing series. Among them are Petit Planet, Animula Nook, Honkai: Nexus Anima, and Aniimo.

Currently, Aniimo from the Chinese studio Pawprint looks the most promising. The game has already passed two stages of beta testing, and the developers have announced another test, which will start "very soon." Applications can be submitted on the official website of the project until June 12, 2026. PC system requirements are also published there.

The announcement is accompanied by a new gameplay trailer. The game combines elements of Pokémon, building and crafting simulators, as well as Genshin Impact with online multiplayer.

Aniimo will be released as a free-to-play title on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and smartphones.
