Recently, Owlcat Games studio presented a new Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy trailer with gameplay footage. In this promo, the developers offer a look at various in-game systems.
In this party-based cRPG, gamers will be invited to take on the role of an Acolyte of the Inquisition:
Your duty is to investigate heresy in the depths of the Calixis Sector. Your craft is to expose the hidden rot in places no one dares to look, to be Humanity's last defense in the face of annihilation.
Some gameplay mechanics are tied to the “investigation”: the Acolyte will collect and systematize evidence, as well as conduct interrogations. Subsequently, they will have the opportunity to accuse a suspect.
The investigation will not be conducted alone — the Acolyte will have various companions, including an Ogrin, a medic named Epiona Spes, a Xenos Laartir Keirnareth, and Heymar Devos — a former Astra Militarum Guardsman.
