RAM stopped a bullet and saved a gamer's life - he could have been accidentally shot
PC gaming has an unexpected advantage...
Recently, the story of angelbabyzz went viral. He might never have been able to connect with other people again if it weren't for his home PC. According to this user, his computer essentially saved his life – it "stopped" a bullet.
Angelbabyzz woke up in the middle of the night due to a loud bang and glass flying into his face:
While I was trying to figure out what had happened, my neighbor ran in – in a terrible state, sobbing, shaking, and scared that she might have hurt someone. It turned out her firearm accidentally discharged because of her dog.
The arriving police explained that the computer changed the bullet's trajectory. If it weren't for the PC, it would have hit angelbabyzz directly.
The RAM was severely bent:

It took angelbabyzz several days to clean up the shattered glass in his room. The neighbor was charged with criminal negligence:
I'm not sure about her dog story, but it's clear from her reaction that it was indeed an accident. She was even more upset than I was – she could barely speak through tears, was shaking, and kept apologizing.
The insurance company will likely cover this incident, but the neighbor immediately said she would "pay for everything herself no matter what."
