In June, the creators of the online shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena introduced update 0.5.1.5. Battlestate Games announced that as part of the “Tarkov Hospitality” event, a new location, “Smugglers' Camp,” was added to the game:
The smugglers' base is not far from the coast of the Gulf of Finland. It seems Ref managed to arrange with the owners for a temporary re-equipment of the base for Arena's needs.
The developers also noted that during the event, other locations will also be open in EFT: Arena: “MES Base” and “Dorms.”
Some other changes:
- Increased overall game sound volume during a match.
- Normalized volume of various weapon types. Changed audibility radius and distances at which weapon sound changes depending on listener's distance.
- Updated movement sounds (running/sprinting).
- Equipment replenishment box mechanic changed – now the box not only restores the state of the rig and pockets, but also replenishes ammunition in the equipped weapon.
- When self-resetting progress or gaining Prestige, progress of unobtained Tactical Tokens, W-Tasks, and achievements is saved and no longer reset.
- Firepower, Protection, and Consumables scales have been removed from the game. Now all Metaweight settings when creating a build are made within a single scale.
