In June, the developers of the global strategy game HoI IV introduced a new expansion, titled "Theater Pack - Hearts of Iron IV: Thunder at our Gates." It includes focus trees for several countries and other improvements:
Plan well-organized campaigns with new features, including a military headquarters and naval captains. In addition, the pack includes unique new content for countries caught between warring empires.
Players will have access to new national focus trees for Australia, Indonesia, and Siam.
Ships will be commanded by unique captains who gradually gain experience; they can be appointed as admirals and placed in charge of fleets.
In addition, a military headquarters is available: "Command on the ground and support troops. New command abilities, proximity to troops, and new ways to form divisions will help you."
The "Theater Pack - Hearts of Iron IV: Thunder at our Gates" expansion launched on Steam with "mostly negative" reviews. The reasons for dissatisfaction are traditional for this type of DLC pack — players believe that there is too little content for a "premium DLC" and also note technical problems.
