Alkimia Interactive has already released several patches for the console versions of Gothic 1 Remake, and now they have presented an update for the PC version of the game. These patches fix some technical issues, exploits, and also improve localization.
In addition, they responded to reports about lockpicking:
We noticed that some players found the new lockpicking system too difficult or not clear enough. Based on your feedback, we have added a new lock difficulty indicator that allows you to better understand how difficult it is before attempting to pick it.
Players are advised to invest skill points in "lockpicking" to make the process easier (mods are also available for the PC version that can simplify lockpicking).
Some other changes:
- Various localization and text fixes have been made
- Fixed some interactions with the forge
- Fixed crashes when using NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR.
- Combat system fixed — issues with "magnetism" and targeting eliminated
- Improved NPC navigation
- Sound effects have been refined
- Fixed quest bugs and economy exploits
- Balance changed, for example, Gomez received additional health and resistance, his area attack distance was also increased
