Xbox brand strategy director Matthew Ball denied rumors in an interview about Microsoft's possible exit from the console business. According to him, the company links its future with traditional gaming systems and is not going to curtail this direction.

Ball noted that the mobile market remains the largest in terms of revenue and audience, but the console segment is not shrinking. On the contrary, it continues to grow and maintains good prospects.

The executive also acknowledged that Microsoft needs to strengthen its position on PCs and smartphones. At the same time, one of the main priorities remains the development of its own Xbox platform, which, according to some players and publishers, has not received enough attention in recent years.

Ball also commented on concerns about a new generation of players who grew up on Minecraft and Roblox. According to him, statistics in developed markets do not show significant changes in audience behavior: as they mature, young users still switch to game consoles.
